Washington, DC—April 21, 2016....Congressman Dan Donovan (NY-11) and Congressman Chris Gibson (NY-19) teamed up to introduce legislation addressing the severe inequities in disaster assistance after Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy. Gibson sponsored the Federal Disaster Notification and Payment Protection Act, with Donovan as an original cosponsor.

Washington, DC—April 20, 2016….Congressman Dan Donovan (NY-11) yesterday voted to pass legislation aimed at the IRS’s reckless targeting of groups and individuals for tax scrutiny. The bill, H.R. 4903, prohibits the IRS from using funds to target American citizens simply for exercising their First Amendment rights.
U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, Congressmember Dan Donovan and Mayor Bill de Blasio today announced that $6 million in federal Department of Transportation grant funds will be provided to the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) for Staten Island Ferry-related upgrades.
“The State of Israel has the right to exist free from terror, and I hope today’s bombing does not indicate a continuation of recent violence. Our most important ally in the Middle East deserves America’s full support in confronting any and all threats to its security.
