Staten Island, NY—March 7, 2016….Congressman Dan Donovan (NY-11) honored a local team of tech-savvy high schoolers for winning his Congressional App Challenge. Donovan announced the App Challenge in December as part of the U.S. House of Representatives’ focus on advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.
On March 15, 2016, Congressman Donovan – Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Communications – will hold a hearing on the impact of President Obama’s proposed homeland security funding cuts.
